Ralph Bernard Jorgenson

Ralph Bernard Jorgenson, 71, of West Fargo, ND, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in his home in West Fargo.

Ralph was born on October 29, 1950, to Roy and Delores (Sandal) Jorgenson. The Jorgenson family farmed near Hawley, MN, where Ralph grew up, attending and graduating from Hawley High School. He then attended NDSU where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was united in marriage to Gail Johnson on January 29, 1972, in Fargo, ND. Shortly after graduating, Ralph got his first job working for the Federal Government as a Soil Conservation Agent. He worked his way up resulting in many family moves from North Dakota to Arizona and back to North Dakota. He ended his career as a land appraiser for the Department of Interior. Ralph and Gail loved spending many summers at Lee Lake. After their retirement, they moved to West Fargo, ND.

Ralph was an active member in the community and enjoyed attending potlucks for various churches in the area. He also enjoyed attending various senior events, auctions, and Steam Threshers. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and was active in the local Harley community. He also had an unusual fondness for old movies. Ralph was an extremely intelligent individual and never forgot anything. He would partake in local trivia events, and he was typically named the team ringer. Ralph was also very caring and would love to lend a helping hand wherever he was needed.

Ralph is survived by his mother, Delores; children, Erik (Brenda) Jorgenson, Ryan (Carrie) Jorgenson, Jacob Jorgenson, and Reuben (Melissa) Jorgenson; grandchildren, Casey and Tommy Jorgenson, and Korrie and Katie Jorgenson; brothers, Wayne (Joann) Jorgenson, Dave (Lynette) Jorgenson, Richard (Nancy) Jorgenson, and Bryon (Beth) Jorgenson; sisters, Annette Cederberg and Marie (Bob) Schultz; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gail; daughter, Robin; and father, Roy.

Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 21, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN. Burial will be at Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, MN, following the service.
