Ralph E. Rehder

Ralph Edward Rehder, 91, of Comstock, MN, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013, in Clay Co Care Center, Barnesville, MN. Ralph was born May 25th, 1922 to Edward and Alma Rosenfeldt Rehder on the family farm near Comstock, MN. He graduated from Comstock High School in 1940. On August 22, 1942, Ralph married Lilah June Johnson. They farmed for nearly 50 years and remained on the farm after retirement.

Ralph was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin, MN where he served on the church council and taught Sunday school. He also served on the Barnesville and Comstock School boards, the Comstock and Holy Cross Insurance Board, Comstock Farmer’s Elevator Board, Alliance Township Board, and served 12 years on the A.S.C.S. committee.

Ralph loved hunting and fishing. He was a life time member of the National Rifle Association, a charter member of the N.R.A. Golden Eagles, a Clay County firearms safety instructor, and a charter member of the Comstock Wildlife Club. Ralph was one of the charter members of the Willow Creek Hunt Club in Roosevelt, Minnesota.

Ralph is survived by his wife Lilah and their three sons Ross, Moorhead, MN, Curtis Judy, Sabin, MN, and Douglas Nina, Billings, Montana; sister Rhoda Brakke, Moorhead, MN; seven grandchildren, Jay Jennifer Rehder, Moorhead, MN, Aaron Rehder, Barnesville, MN, Paul Fiancé Kathy Rehder, Moorhead, MN, Kristopher Rehder, Cheney, WA, Benjamin Rehder, Phoenix, AZ, Carmen JacksonWiley, Spokane, WA, Kirsten Kenny Anderson , Fargo, ND; and nine great grandchildren Gage, Hannah, Jason, Nathan, Chloe, Sebastian, Claire, Fredrick, and Annamarie Lilah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Cheryl.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 10, 2013, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, MN.

Interment: Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sabin, MN.
