Randy J. Cyr

Randy J. Cyr, 41, of Moorhead, MN, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Randy was born November 1, 1975, to Edmond and Janice DeGroat Cyr. He grew up and attended school in Glyndon, MN, graduating from Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School. Following high school, he worked with the City of Moorhead, then for a brief period in Spearfish, SD. Randy enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, basketball, was a huge Michael Jordan fan, and watching the Minnesota Twins, but most of all loved his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and his kitten, Jordan.

Randy is survived by his mother, Janice James Sheldon; father, Edmond Rose Cyr; sisters, Debbie Bob Dobbins, Cathy Dan Rice, Sue Bob Mullins, Paula Gene Galinat; nieces and nephews, Ryan Dobbins, Zachary Tia Dobbins, Brittany Nick Ahmann, Allie Rice, Alicia Steven Karas, Amber Lahren, Amanda Mullins; great nieces, Charlie and Josie Dobbins; great-nephew and Godson, Ashton Mullins; step-brothers, Brian and Scott Sheldon; step-sisters, Kristi Schroeder, Ellana Brett Hahn-Garthune; and aunts, uncles and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Adeline DeGroat, Paul and Lydia Cyr; great-nephew, Jaxon Ahmann; aunt, Joan Wilson; and uncle, Victor Facio.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
