Randy L. Motschenbacher

Randy Lee Motschenbacher, 59, of Moorhead, MN passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
Randy was born on June 27, 1956 in Moorhead, MN to John and Lois Kuehl Motschenbacher. He grew up on the family farm near Barnesville, MN, where he attended school and graduated in 1974. He went on to graduate from Moorhead Area Vocational Technical Institute in electrical engineering.
Randy worked for Voxland Electric for 10 years before starting his own company, Randy’s Electric, where he had been for the past 30 years.
Randy married Carol Jenny on April 21, 1979 in Hillsboro, ND. They have two children, Megan and Michael. Randy was very active with Michael’s activities whether it was sporting events or Boy Scouts. He enjoyed not only watching but was a very involved father. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and could often be found tending to his gardens.
Randy was a great friend and neighbor to many and was always available to help out. He could fix about anything and always put others before himself.
He is survived by his wife Carol, two children; Megan and Michael, three brothers; Gary Linda Motschenbacher, Shakopee, MN, Dennis Kaylene Motschenbacher, Barnesville, MN, Mark LeaAnn Motschenbacher, Verndale, MN, two sisters; Mary Ann Mark Nelson, Moorhead, MN, Lori Jerry Lein, Bismarck, ND, and his mother Lois Motschenbacher. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his father, John, and infant brother, Timothy.
Visitation: Friday, January 8, 2016 in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.
Funeral: Saturday, January 9, 2016 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
