Randy W. Petermann

Randy W. Petermann, 58, of Dilworth, MN, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, June 13, 2013, in his home in Dilworth.

Randy Wayne Petermann was born on May 20, 1955, in Moorhead, MN, to Charles and Lorilee Barth Petermann. He grew up in Hawley, MN, where he graduated from Hawley High School in 1973. He worked on the family farm with his father. Randy also did custom combining in Nebraska for some time. He later drove beet truck for various farmers in the Hawley area. Randy also worked at Cashwise, but most recently had been working at Pizza Hut.

Randy enjoyed being with people and visiting with friends and family. He had a love for driving, and was always there to give anyone a ride. He also enjoyed being outdoors, especially snowmobiling, hunting and fishing.

Randy is survived by his son, Taylor Petermann, Fargo, ND; mother, Lorilee Petermann, Hawley, MN; three sisters, Vicki Randy Bjornson, Hawley, MN, Nancy Nyberg, Moorhead, MN, and Peggy Russ Severson, Detroit Lakes, MN; nieces and nephews, Jodi O’Brien, Chuck and Karl Nyberg, Kayla, Adam and Jacob Bjornson; and great nieces and nephews, Mason, Owen and Jack O’Brien, Makena Iverson and Taylyn Bjornson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Petermann and niece, Shawn Severson.

Memorial Gathering: Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
