Rania D. Neels

Rania D. Neels, 67, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Rania was born September 30, 1954, to Robert and Grace (Hillig) Steinkraus. She grew up in Wadena, MN, where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at Northwest Technical (Minnesota State Community and Technical College) in Wadena. On December 4, 1976, Rania married Mark Neels. Together they made their home in Henning, MN. Over the years, Rania worked in many different professions and positions, including the local newspaper and the sewing factory. She enjoyed raising the children and being a part of their many activities. She also enjoyed reading, bowling, gardening, and crafts, but most of all, loved her time with her grandchildren. Rania moved to Moorhead in 2005, and then to Dilworth in 2007. Her passion for reading and helping others kept her active at Dilworth Elementary School, where she worked as a Reading Corps tutor, and made many friends during her time there. Rania will be remembered for her giving spirit and for the love she had for her family.

Rania is survived by her children, Chris Neels, Jessi (Troy) Bruce, and Dalyce (Krystal) Neels; grandchildren, Cheyanne, Chloe, Austin, David, Lillian, Gage and Jaxtyn; great-grandchildren, Saphira and baby Neels on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Cedric (Darlene) Steinkraus; sister-in-law, Sharon Steinkraus; and Lynne Piepkorn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Eugene Steinkraus.

Visitation will be Friday, November 26, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
