Raymond Coronado

Raymond Coronado, 97, formerly of Niles, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in Moorhead, MN.

Raymond was born in Dallas, TX, on December 24, 1924, to Trinidad and Luz (Garcia) Coronado. He was drafted into the Navy in April of 1943 and discharged honorably in April of 1946. He married Margaret Lopez on September 4, 1965. Margaret passed away in 2011.

Raymond’s only hobby was that he was an avid reader of the Chicago Sun Times no matter where life took him.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

He is survived by his brother, Francisco (Celia) Coronado, sister, Florinda Coronado, and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was lovingly cared for the last 11 years of his life by his niece.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 12:30 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN. A livestream of the service will be available here on Raymond’s page.
