Reuben was born February 6, 1925 to Jacob and Marie Meyer Moos in Medina, ND. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from Medina High School. In 1946 Reuben enlisted in the Army. He later was united in marriage with Loraine Reister in Jamestown, ND, on October 1, 1955; she passed away in June of 1990. Together they owned and operated the Texaco station in Jamestown, ND before he started work with REA as a lineman. Reuben continued as a lineman and worked across the Midwest until moving to Glyndon in 1961. Reuben then worked in construction until his back injury in 1964. Even while living with his disability, he was very active and independent, keeping busy with various hobbies, including his salvage yard, car repair, saw sharpening, small engines, woodworking and leather craft. Reuben and Loraine later started traveling in the winters, which they loved to do. Reuben is survived by his 2 sons, Harvey Penny of Moorhead, MN, David Kathy of Fargo, ND; 5 daughters, Karen Moos of Moorhead, MN, Peggy Oltoff of Breckenridge, MN, Nancy Moos of Glyndon, MN, Mary Paul Horsley of Loveland, OH, Shirley Robert Oswald of Levittown, NY; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Albert of Fargo, ND, Robert DeAnn of Brush, CO; 2 sisters, Pauline Dorvel of Fargo, ND, Leona Weiser of Jamestown, ND; and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.
