Richard A. Mcgough

Richard Allen McGough was born on September 10, 1945, to Ed and Edna Melsness McGough in Moorhead, MN. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead, and this is where he met and on January 31, 1965 married, Jane Kronbeck, his loving and devoted wife of 39 years. He worked for Fargo Foundry as a welder and then for Wally Oscarson as a carpet installer before becoming a partner in Twin City Carpet. Richard retired in 1988 due to health issues. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons, grandsons and nephews. His love for his family was immeasurable. His grandchildren, Tommy, Jake, Ryan and Nikki Sue were the light of his life. On June 10, 2004, at his home in Downer, Richard peacefully left his family here on earth and joined his family in heaven consisting of his parents and 2 brothers, Chuck McGough of Valley City, ND and Joe McGough, Dilworth, MN; and 4 sisters, Margaret McGough Braaten, Moorhead, MN, Virginia McGough Zasada, St. Paul, MN, Beverly McGough Larson, Moorhead, MN, Shari McGough Bowlus, Dilworth, MN; and 2 sister in laws, Dori McGough, Valley City, ND and Linda McGough, Detroit Lakes, MN; and 2 brother in laws, Byron Bowlus, Dilworth, MN, and Earl Braaten, Moorhead, MN.Richard leaves behind a family who loved him dearly. His wife Jane of Downer, MN; daughter Tammy Corry VanMil, Lake Park, MN; two sons, Kevin Susan McGough, Downer, MN, Keith Teresa McGough, Glyndon, MN; 4 foster sons, Vern Halvorson, Moorhead, MN, Bemo, Berto and Jermey Martinez of Downer, MN; one brother, James McGough, Detroit Lakes, MN; and three sisters, Dorthy Lemke, Moorhead, MN, Carol Robert Swenson, Dilworth, MN, Susie Hanson, Dilworth, MN; and many nieces and nephews.We are returning our husband, dad, grandpa and brother to you, God, to care for him until the day comes when we can be with him again surrounded by your love in heaven.
