Richard E. Becker

Richard E. Rick Becker, 46, Ulen, MN, died July 8, 2013, in Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen, ND.
Rick was born September 30, 1966, in Moorhead, MN, to Thomas E. and Hazel Morehart Becker. Rick was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead and then joined the Job Corps, serving in Anaconda, MT, where he graduated from high school.
Rick worked at Mid-America Steel in Fargo, then attended truck driver school and became an owner-operator truck driver. He went to work for Aggregate Industries and was currently working at Borsheim Crane Service as a crane operator on the gasification plant in Beulah, ND.
He loved to hunt and was a gun enthusiast. He belonged to the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 49.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Becker, Moorhead; daughter Samantha Jo Culberth, Ogden, Kansas; sister DeAnn Becker, Moorhead, MN; four grandchildren, Shawn, Dakota, Dorothy and August; and nieces Samantha and Tierra.
Visitation: Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Monday, July 15, 2013, at 11:30 A.M., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
Interment: Prairie Home Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
