Richard F. Harris

Richard F. Harris, 76, Fargo, ND, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, in Sanford Medical Center.
Richard Frank Harris was born on February 23, 1940 to Emerson and Evalyn Ahlbom Harris in Fargo, ND. He graduated from Fargo Central High School and NDSU.
He worked in sales at Allis-Chalmers and Goodyear before retiring and moving back to the family farm.
He was a great welder and farmer. In his spare time he enjoyed meeting up with friends at the Harwood Hideout as well as golfing, gardening, canning and also made his own sauerkraut. He was also a great neighbor and always made his home available to anyone who wanted to visit. Most of all he enjoyed being around children who loved to visit him on the farm where there were always plenty of activities. He truly had a heart of gold.
Richard is survived by his son; Troy Monica Harris, Fargo, ND, daughter; Jodi Scott Paramo Harris and grandson Joey, Sturgis, SD, brothers; Dwight Louise Harris, Albuquerque, NM, Glen Colleen Harris, San Tan Valley, AZ, and Jim Jean Harris, Bismarck, ND, Sister; Elaine Larry Windingland, Champaign, IL, and Sandy Reuther, Fargo, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert.
A memorial gathering will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 5, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN with a visitation one hour before.
