Richard J. ’Rick’ Born

Richard John Born was born October 16, 1951 in Breckenridge, MN to Joseph and Elizabeth Boll Born. He attended school in Hankinson and went on to Bismarck, ND for auto body repair. Rick married Paulette Schultz on May 6, 1972; together they had their son, Jerry. Rick worked in Wahpeton for Sims Auto Repair. He then opened his own shop in Hankinson for a few years. He moved to Moorhead in 1975 and opened Ricks Auto Body, where he has since worked. He is survived by his son, Jerry Nancy Born and granddaughter, Tristan, all of Breckenridge, MN; brothers, Douglas Carole Born, Moorhead, MN and Kevin Born, Dilworth, MN; sisters, Paulette Gary Schulz, Moorhead, MN, Mary William Hermann, Dilworth, MN and Denise Samuel Johnson, Wahpeton, ND; best friend and partner, Mary Faus, Moorhead, MN and her children, Christina Eric Groff, McLeod, ND and Brian Faus, Moohread, MN, and her grandchildren, Lexy, Brady, Emma, Keegan and Kailyn. Richard is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rick your hard working hands and kind heart has touched so many lives. We will all miss you and treasure our memories forever and always.Rick is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Daniel Born; paternal and maternal grandparents; and niece, Deborah Schulz.
