Richard “Dick” Lyle Biever – devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Richard passed away peacefully at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo with his daughter-in-law by his side on November 19, 2020.
Richard was born on January 24th, 1935 in Crookston, MN to John and Mammie ( Warfel) Biever.
Richard married the love of his life and best friend, Beverly Nelson, on December 4, 1954. They had two children Cammy and Todd.
Richard went on to work at Wallwork as a well-known body mechanic for many years until he retired.
Richard had love for fishing, hunting, hockey, archery, the outdoors, and most importantly his family. Richard took pride in passing down his love for outdoor sports to his family. Richard often talked about all his special hunting trips with his son Todd and grandson Travis. Richard enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events (often coaching along the way). Richard was known for striking up conversations and his willingness to teach his hunting skills to anyone who would listen.
Richard was survived by his wife, Beverly; daughter Cammy (Kirk) Gates; daughter-in-law, Shelly Biever; grandchildren, Melissa Boone, Joshua (Karen) Gates, Amanda (Alex) Sauve, and Travis (Alissa) Biever; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mammie; two brothers, Milo and Loyd; great-grandson, Ethan; and son, Todd.

A private family service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, with a livestream available on Dick’s page starting at 10:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Moorhead Memorial Gardens.
