Richard M. Robley

Dick Robley, 84, of Moorhead, MN, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Richard Marvin Robley was born on January 27, 1929 in Pelican Rapids, Minn., to Herbert and Ida Gunderson Robley. He grew up and attended school in Pelican Rapids. After working as a farm laborer he joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany. Upon his discharge he returned to Pelican Rapids. He married Audrey Stengl on August 19, 1955. They made their home in Moorhead. Audrey passed away in 1998.

Dick worked as a painter and a carpenter for various companies. He was an avid hunter and fisherman until the age of 60 when he discovered his passion: Golf. He was a long-time member of the Hawley Golf Club where he scored two holes-in-one. He shot his age many times when he was in his 70s.

Dick is survived by one son Wayne Mary Klabo of Fargo, and two daughters Elaine Art Lazarine of Burleson, Texas and Kris of Fargo;; Brothers Robert Eileen of Vergas, Minn., Ernie Marlys of Sabin, Minn., and sister Joyce Wallace Davis of Fergus Falls; and four grandchildren: Tony Sherman, Kansas City, MO; Ashley Sherman, Denver Colo., and Connor and Dylan Robley of Fargo.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Memorial Gathering: One hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
