Robert A. “Bob” Olsen

Robert A. “Bob” Olsen, 64, of Moorhead, MN, died on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at home under the care of family and Hospice. Bob was born August 31, 1954, in Tacoma, WA. At an early age, they moved to Barnesville, where he grew up and attended school until moving to Dilworth, MN, where he graduated from high school. Following school, Bob began his career with Nash Finch. On October 24, 1997, he married Mary Luhman. Together they made their home in Moorhead and Bob continued with Nash Finch until he stepped away this past July due to illness. Over the years, he loved spending time outdoors and fishing. He always enjoyed spending time with friends, socializing and competing in bean bags. But most of all, he loved his time with family. He will be greatly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Justin (Christine) of Fargo, Shane (Lissa) of Moorhead, Kristin Olsen of Fargo; step-daughter, Tammy (Josh) Heath of West Fargo; grandchildren, Jasmine, Alex, Devyn, Tanner, Cooper, Brady and Samantha; mother, Fern; siblings, Roberta Haspel, Jerry (Marie) Olsen, Jeff Olsen, Cheryl (Ross) Stein; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sarah; his father, Marvin and biological mother, Alice; and brother-in-law, Bill Haspel.

Memorial gathering will be on Monday, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
