Robert “Bob” Kraft

Robert “Bob” J. Kraft, 72, of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, March 27, 2015, in Fargo, ND.

Robert “Bob” James was born on July 8, 1942 in Rockford, IL, to Michael and Judy Kelsch Kraft. He grew up in Rugby, ND, where he graduated high school in 1960. Bob then enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for three and a half years. On November 24, 1965, Bob married Marlene Young in Rugby, ND. Bob attended UND and graduated in 1972. Bob worked as a sales representative for IDSO Sales, Greif Brothers and Moorhead Insurance.

Bob and Marlene eventually made their home in Moorhead, where they raised their three children. Bob was an avid UND Sioux hockey fan, instilling the love of hockey to his entire family. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing and going to auctions. Bob was very passionate in everything he did, always bringing joy with his great sense of humor. Bob was most proud of his three children and loved spending time with his entire family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marlene, Moorhead, MN; sons, Jeff Kimberley Kraft, Champlin, MN, and Ryan Angela Kraft, Lakeville, MN; daughter, McKenzie Nathan Olson, Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Patty Gross, Moorhead, MN; brother, Michael Kraft; four grandchildren, Kayla Kraft, Mason Kraft, Owen Kraft and Brennan Olson and one on the way; and family friend, Ronda Nesemeier; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom Kraft.

Memorial Gathering: Monday, March 30, 2015, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Memorial Service: Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
A lucheon will be served immediately following the service at the American Legion in Moorhead, MN.
