Robert “Bob” L. Gee

Robert “Bob” L. Gee, 88, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014, in the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Bob was born May 25, 1926 to Milton and Hertha Paschke Gee in Oakport Township, Moorhead, MN. He attended Oak Mound School in Kragnes, MN, and later graduated from Moorhead High School. Following high school, Bob served in the U.S. Navy until 1946. He then continued his education at NDSU where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy.

On June 18, 1953, Bob married Mae Erickson in Fargo, ND. Together they made their home on the farm near Kragnes, MN. Over the years, Bob operated their dairy farm and was recognized with several awards for his accomplishments. He was very involved in the community, serving on many Local, State and National Boards. He also worked as Clay County Extension Agent for the University of Minnesota. Bob was proud of his work with 4-H and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Mae; sister, Rosalyn Bekkerus of Dilworth, MN; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Hertha; brother, Milton, Jr.; and sisters, Mavis Oster and Elizabeth Seter.

Visitation: Friday, October 31, from 5 – 7 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Saturday, November 1, at 11 a.m., in First Congregational UCC, Fargo, ND.
Interment: Oak Mound Cemetery, Kragnes, MN.
