Robert “Bob” Luther Hayes

Robert “Bob” Luther Hayes, 66, of Hitterdal, MN, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019. Bob was born on December 6, 1952, to Charles and Evelyn Mae (Putnam) Hayes in Minneapolis, MN. Bob’s family moved to Frazee, MN where he attended and graduated from Frazee High School.

After graduation, Bob joined the military, serving his county in the United States Navy. After returning from the military, Bob starting working for Baer Trucking in Lake Park, MN, where he worked for many years. After his retirement, Bob drove truck part time for Nelson Trucking.

Bob was competitive when it came to sports, he enjoyed golfing with his buddies, and loved to goof around.

Bob is survived by his significant other, Judy Bates; siblings, Charles Hayes, Donald (Diane) Hayes, Deb Hayes, and Sandy (Tom) Mock; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn; step-father, Harold Drews; and brother, John Hayes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
