Robert Bruce “Bob” Collins Sr.

Robert Bruce “Bob” Collins, Sr., 72, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on May 10, 1950, to Carl and Dorothy (Storbeck) Collins in Minot, ND. He grew up in Minot where he graduated from Minot High School. He joined the Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War from March 11, 1970 – October 16, 1971. He was united in marriage to Michelle Treider on January 30, 1976. He attended Moorhead Tech School, studying to become an automotive mechanic. After his schooling, he began his lifelong career as a semi-truck driver until his retirement.

Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, and outdoor activities. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his mother, Dorothy Collins; children, Robert (Dawn) Collins, Jr., Crystal (Joe) Collins, Dominic Collins, and Alicia (Glen) Collins; grandchildren, Ashely, Dakota, Teddy, Kaeden, Kiana, Mahlea, Kwinn, Angelea, Mitchell, Kahri, and Alexis; 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sandy (Dan) Roggenbuck, Cindy (Kevin) Mangin, and Susan Collins; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Michelle; father, Carl Collins; dogs, Precious and Ladybug; mother and father-in-law, John and Gladys; and brothers-in-law, Greg Treider, Elroy Hansen, and Andy Azure.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN. Burial will be at Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, MN, following the service.
