Robert Earl Garza

Two Roads (Canku Nunpa), 60, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020, in Essentia Health Hospital, Fargo, ND. Robert Earl Garza was born on April 1, 1960, to Frank A. and Irma G. Garza in Brownsville, TX.

Robert grew up in Brownsville where he attended Homer Hanna High School. After receiving his G.E.D., he joined the United State Military serving for the Army. He was stationed in Germany, Fort Blitz in El Paso, TX, and Fort Riley, KS. He returned to Brownsville, TX, where he attended Texas Southmost College. After college, Robert worked as an auto mechanic in the area. In 1995, he moved to Moorhead where he lived ever since working as an auto mechanic.

Robert was known as a handyman and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, woodworking, beading, the occasional scratch off ticket, and a trip to a Casino. Most of all, Robert enjoyed spending his time with his grandkids.

Robert is survived by his wife, Dorene Garza; step-children, Rob (Candida) Maye, Izetta (Miguel) Cooley, Bill Maye, Mary Maye, Anita Maye, TJ Solberg, Richard Solberg, and Phoebe White Body; 31 grandkids; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, William Garza and Frank A. (Rosario) Garza Jr.; special friend, Lazaro Avila; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irma; brother, Johnny Lee Garza; and nephew, William Nathan Garza, Jr.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 P.M., on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery following the service at the funeral home.
