Robert Brostrom, 61, Lake Park, MN, died March 27, 2010, from complications of amyloidosis.Bob was born on November 21, 1948, to Robert and Edna Stenquist Brostrom in Wilton, ND. He graduated from UND in 1970, with a degree in accounting. He married his high school sweetheart, Cassie, June, 1970. They made their home in West Fargo for 33 years before moving to Lake Ida in 2003. Bob was a partner with Eide Bailly, and was employed with them for 39 years until his retirement in 2009.Bob was an active Lions member for 35 years, an avid Fighting Sioux hockey fan naming his dog SiouxZee, and a Green Bay Packer fan with or without Favre. He loved to fish and the highlight of his year was hunting with his sons, Matt and Pat, and his good friends Scott, Ross and Lorin.He is survived by his wife, Cassie of Lake Ida; sons, Matthew and Patrick both of Livonia, MI; sisters, Carolyn Ted Kueppers of Fridley, MN and Judy Lynn Redington of Huntsville, AL; one sister-in-law, Claudia Mike Richards of Peoria, AZ; several nieces and nephews and his "once-in-a-lifetime dog," Bailey.Bob was a member of Cormorant Lutheran Church, Lake Park. Bob's strong faith in God, the support from all his friends, and the congregation at Cormorant Lutheran Church were a source of immense strength to him and his family.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Cormorant Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or CaringBridge, www.caringbridge.org/visit/robertbrostrom.
