Robert Joseph “Rob” Rock Ii

Robert Joseph “Rob” Rock II, 46, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020, in Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Rob was born on October 15, 1973, to Robert and Charlotte (Wichern) Rock in Detroit Lakes, MN. As a military family, Rob had the privilege of living in many different places all over the world, including; Florida, Scotland, and various places in Minnesota. He graduated from Detroit Lakes High School, Detroit Lakes, MN.

Rob met his future wife, Alison Kyllo, and they were united in marriage on April 26, 1997, in West Fargo, ND. Rob had an interest in working in healthcare which started as a pursuit to become a paramedic and advanced on becoming a registered nurse. He took multiple classes at MSUM in Moorhead, and ultimately graduated from Fergus Falls Community College with an Associates Degree in Nursing. His career in nursing took on many forms as he worked as a psych nurse at Prairie St. Johns, Clay County Detox, and most recently as a pediatric home health nurse.

Rob enjoyed drawing, fitness, and working out in his home gym. Whether it be through carpentry, cars, or building his own computer, he loved fixing things. But mostly, Rob enjoyed being a father and sharing his knowledge of cars and computers with his daughters, encouraging their independence.

Rob is survived by his loving wife, Alison Rock; his daughters, Madison (Amadou) Rock, Salena Rock, and Josefine Rock; parents, Robert and Charlotte; sisters, Malena and Verna Rock; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Helen Wichern; and uncles, Bernie Wichern, Delvin Wichern, and Robert “Bob” Wichern.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., followed by the prayer service at 7:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Visitation will continue Sunday, January 26, 2020, from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 P.M., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
