Robert H. Kruse

Robert Harlan Kruse, 88, of Moorhead, Minnesota passed away on September 7th at 12:14 am after a long battle with Parkinsons.

Robert was born on August 26th, 1935, to Arnold and Arlene "Mickie" Kruse in Polk Center Township at their home. After graduating from Halstad 1951, Robert went on to join the Air Force on January 7th, 1957, and served at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota until January 6th, 1961.

After his time in the service, Robert landed his job as a warehouse manager for Simons, kicking off a career in warehouse work and part time work as a farmer while also coaching little league sports, then later found a long and fulfilling career farming.

In 1964 Robert met Ellen, and they wed on May 8th, 1965, at Immanuel Lutheran church where they were members, going on to have two children, Jason and Rachele.

After retiring in 2013, Robert spent his time fishing, watching sports, taking care of the yard, and spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Ellen Kruse; son, Jason (Ann) Kruse; daughter, Rachele Kruse; and grandson, Ethan Kruse.

He would do anything for his friends and family and loved us dearly. He made everyone who knew him laugh. Our family is grateful to know that Robert is finally at peace. A celebration of life will be held at MB Johnson Park on October 8th at 12pm until 5pm, friends and family welcome.
