Robert Raymond Kaczmarek

Robert Raymond Kaczmarek was born November 27, 1941 in Milwaukee,WI to Edward & Lorraine Kaczmarek. Robert (Bob) enlisted in the Navy May 1959 and was stationed on the USS Helena out of Sacramento,CA. He was honorably discharged in May 1965. He married Nancy Wilson Feb 7, 1962 making their home in Milwaukee, together having 4 children. The family moved to the Crosby-Ironton area in 1972 until moving to Gillette,WY in 1981. Bob was a truck driver for many years before retiring from Overhead Door Co in 2013. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He had a love for animals and could never say no when you brought a stray dog or cat home. Diagnosed with Cancer in 2018 Robert never complained. He came to Horace, ND in July 2019 to live the time he had left with his 2 daughters and grandchildren. He was able to enjoy a couple of fishing trips and camping. Bob was honored to be chosen to go on the Veterans Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Oct 2Oth with his daughter Barb. On Nov 1, 2019 Robert lost his Courageous fight with Cancer surrounded lovingly by his family. He is survived by his Daughters, Barbara (Dennis) Mischel and Brenda Austin both of Horace,ND; Son, Robert Jr. of Gypsum,CO; Sister, Joan (Russ) Krause, New Berlin,WI; many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews; Honorary daughters Joey & Dorthy, Honorary grandson Marcus of Gillette,WY. He was preceded in death by a daughter Christine, Brother Buzz, Sister Alice, along with his Parents. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 7, 2019, at 3:00 P.M., at the Horace Fire Hall, Horace, ND.  Burial with military honors will be at Horace Lutheran Cemetery.
