Roger Paul Sell, 63, of Hawley, MN, died Monday, September 25, in his home.
Roger Paul Sell was born in Ames, IA to Jerry and JoAnn Sell on December 13, 1953. In 1960, the Sell’s moved to Winnipeg, Canada, living there for six years and moving to Fargo, ND in 1966. Roger graduated from Fargo North High School in 1971. It was during his teenage years that he developed a love for playing baseball, hockey, and guitar. He graduated from NDSU with a B.S. in Animal Science.
Roger joined several bands and played professionally throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. He was well loved and respected in the local music community. Roger was multi-talented and worked many years as a carpenter and mechanic. In 1981, Roger married the love of his life, Jane Plummer, and they made their home on their beloved hobby farm near Hawley, MN.
Roger is preceded in death by his brother Rex. He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughter, Callie Jason; son, Derek Darcie; six grandchildren; parents, Jerry and JoAnn Sell.
There will be a celebration of music and memories at Harwood Community Center on October 14, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM with burial at Hawley Cemetery.
