Ronald E. Dahl

Ronald Edwin Dahl, 76, of Hawley, Minnesota, passed away on October 28, 2013 at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Ronald “Ron” was born in Fargo on May 29, 1937 to parents Carl Edwin “Eddie” Dahl and Ethel Heimark Dahl-Lewis. After graduating from high school in Detroit Lakes class of 1956, he served in the U.S. Air Force and continued his education at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Ron then began a lifelong career as a Quality Assurance Engineer in the nuclear, aerospace, electronics, and communications industries.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Kristin Adam Mead of Woodbury, MN; son, Andrew Dahl of Woodbury, MN; step-son, Charles Chapin of Buffalo, MN; step-daughter, Julianna Cotthaus of Walden, NY; brother, Steve Marian Dahl of Minnetonka, MN; and nephews, Darcy Beth Dahl of New York City, NY, Eric Kelly Dahl of Matthews, NC; and great nieces and nephews, Lucy, Ed, Jared and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wright Funeral Home in Hawley, MN. Interment will be at Hawley Cemetery.
