Ronald “Levi” E. Molacek

Ronald “Levi” Edward Molacek, 70, of Detroit Lakes, MN, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, MN.

Ronald was born May 2, 1943, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Edward and Lyla Johnson Molacek. He grew up and attended school in the Lake Park area. Ron joined the National Guard in 1962, and served his country for six years. Ron met and married Diane Knutson on November 24, 1964 and lived in Audubon, MN, until 1976, when they moved to Blanchard, ND, where they raised their three sons, later moving back to the Detroit Lakes area.

Ron enjoyed classic cars, fishing, farming and pheasant hunting. He also loved spending time tinkering on projects with his boys while they were growing up and currently cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Renae Sim, and one brother-in-law, Morris Foltz.

Ron is survived by his best friend, Diane Knutson of Detroit Lakes, MN; three sons, Joe Tina Molacek of Detroit Lakes, MN, Ted Holly Molacek of Lake Park, MN, and Corey Molacek of Detroit Lakes, MN; five grandchildren, Paige, Tyler, Natalie, Jayden and Sadie; one great-granddaughter, Daviny; two brothers, Richard Nancy Molacek of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Robert Molacek of Rochert, MN; two sisters, Ruth Ole Boland of Walcott, ND, and Rita Foltz of Detroit Lakes, MN; several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Memorial Gathering: one hour prior to the service.
Memorial Service: Monday, May 20, 2013, 11:00 a.m., Wright Funeral Home, Lake Park, MN.
Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake Park, MN.
