Ronald Opatril

Ronald Opatril was born February 5, 1944 at Barnesville, Minnesota to Rudy and Marie Kluck Opatril. He grew up north of Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 1962. He was baptized and confirmed at the Hawley Parsonage. He worked for Haugen Masonry and Fairmont Creamery, then moved to Colorado for a few years, returning to Hawley in 1971. He was employed by Opatril Concrete. In 1998 Ronald moved to Sunnyside Nursing Home in Lake Park, Minnesota, and for the past year has been a resident of Rosewood On Broadway in Fargo, North Dakota. Ronald died Monday, April 5, 2004, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, at Rosewood On Broadway, at the age of 60.He is survived by his mother, Marie Opatril, Hawley, MN; one son, Jeffrey Opatril, Denver, CO; one daughter, Stephanie Russell Ray, Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Merlyn Opatril, Glyndon, MN, Duane Opatril, Hawley, MN, Richard Paulette Opatril, Hitterdal, MN, and Milton Sandra Opatril, Dilworth, MN; one sister, Judy Keith Gregerson, Fargo, ND; two granddaughters, Crystal & Keisha Hueton.
