Rosalie F. “Rosie” Bowman

Rosalie F. Bowman, 72, of Moorhead, MN, passed away at home with family by her side on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

Rosalie Fae “Rosie” Koester was born to Arthur and Grace (Arneson) Koester in Park Rapids, MN, on April 8, 1948. She grew up in Park Rapids and graduated from Park Rapids High School. She went on to attend Bemidji State University, Bemidji, MN, where she received a bachelor’s degree in social work.

She married Richard Bowman on July 11, 1970 in Park Rapids. They moved to Thief River Falls, MN, and then Bemidji, MN, before settling in Moorhead where Richard worked in banking. Rosie took a job at Dayton Hudson department store where she was named employee of the year.

After retirement, Rosie enjoyed taking their Mini Schnauzers, Miss Abby and Mr. Lincoln, for walks. She had a huge heart when it came to dogs and animals in general. She loved to paint and draw and kept a spotless home.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Jennifer (Denny) Panich; sons, Ryan Bowman and Michael Bowman; grandson, Peyton Panich and sister Linda Shutter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jon Koester.

Rosie will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Park Rapids, MN, next to her parents.
