Rosemarie Wickum

On Thursday, September 23, 2022, RoseMarie Wickum passed away at the age of 77. RoseMarie was born on December 23, 1944, in Moorhead, MN. She graduated from Dilworth High School in 1962. She then attended Business School and started work at St. Ansgar’s Hospital, Moorhead, where she met her husband, James Wickum. Rose and Jim were married on August 16, 1969. Together they raised 3 sons, Derek, Daren, and Damon.

Rose loved to cook and enjoyed sharing her delicious food with friends and family.  The annual “flat” of Christmas goodies was expected by many. RoseMarie also enjoyed watching football and spent many Sunday nights watching the Vikings play until she “had to turn it off.”

RoseMarie was preceded in death by her husband, James, father, Joseph and her mother, Carmella. She is survived by her sons, Derek (Elizabeth), Daren (Jessica), Damon (Tammy) and five grandchildren, Paige, Tristen, Daniel, Tyler, and Thomas.

A memorial service with a livestream will be held at Wright Funeral Home on October 7th at 10:00 a.m. There will be a visitation at 9:00 a.m. preceding the ceremony. Following the ceremony RoseMarie will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Moorhead, MN.
