Roslyn L. Cossette

Roslyn “Rose” Cossette, 93, Moorhead, MN, died on Sunday, January 8, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Roslyn L. Buth was born on September 23, 1923 in Sabin, MN, to Theodore and Millie Buth. She grew up and attended school there. Rose married Marcel “Mike” Cossette on May 10, 1947 in Fargo, ND, and they made their home in Downer, MN, for a few years. In 1956 they moved to Moorhead where Rose went to work at the Clay County Courthouse as a cook. She later worked at St. Ansgar’s Hospital in housekeeping, retiring in 1988.
Rose found joy in going dancing at the Galaxy Supper Club. She loved reading cookbooks, cooking, baking and gardening. An occasional trip to the casino was always welcome.
Her husband Mike died on December 7, 1996.
Rose is survived by her sons, Richard Bridgette Cossette, West Fargo, ND, Michael Sharon Cossette, Reno, NV, Dale Cossette, Mesa, AZ, Mitch Ellie Cossette, Moorhead, MN; son-in-law Alan Strunc, Danube, MN; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother Donald Beverly Buth, Moorhead, MN, and sister Lola Sylvester Fritz, Fargo, ND; She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Bonnie Strunc.
Rose’s family would like to offer a very sincere thanks to the staff at Farmstead Estates in Moorhead for the wonderful care they offered.
Visitation: Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Friday, January 13, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Interment: St. Benedict’s Cemetery, Wild Rice, ND.
