Ruben Reyes

Ruben Reyes, 54, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at SMP Health, St. Raphael, Valley City, ND. He was born to Angelita Gonzales and Cecilio Reyes in Mission, TX. The family moved to Moorhead, MN, while he was a young child. Ruben attended school in Moorhead and remained in the area for most of his life.

Ruben married Vanessa Longie and their union was blessed with three children whom Ruben loved very much and he enjoyed being a father.

When Ruben was born, his mother said that he was a big baby and sat up and showed his large personality right away. With his big personality, Ruben had a big smile to match.

He enjoyed spending time with the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Tahlia. He enjoyed fishing with his big brother “Boy” eating his momma’s cooking, and fixing cars. He was a great cook and even attended Moorhead Tech for chef’s training.

Ruben is preceded in death by his father, Cecilio Reyes and his brother, Joey Reyes.

Ruben is survived by his children, Kayla Marie, Bryce, and Emilio; mother, Angelita Reyes; sisters, Elvia Reyes, Esmerelda Reyes; brothers, Cecilio Reyes, JR., Alfredo Reyes; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 5, 2024, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
