Russell E. Buhaug

Russell was born August 3, 1917 in Hitterdal, Minnesota to Jorgen and Julia Moan Buhaug, where he grew up and attended school. When he was twenty-two he moved to the Twin Cities where he received his certification for repair on refrigeration and air conditioning. He married Gloria Klug on July 23, 1957 in South Dakota. Following their marriage they lived in Moorhead for a brief time before moving to Lake Park, Minnesota. He continued to work in refrigeration and air conditioning until his retirement. Russell loved fishing and being on the water, especially Lake of the Woods. He also enjoyed watching the Vikings and the Twins.He is survived by his wife, Gloria Buhaug, Lake Park, MN; son, Russell "Rusty" Cindy Buhaug, Jr, Lake Park, MN; step-daughter, Brenda Robideau, Fargo, ND; step-son, Terry Klug, Moorhead, MN; sister, Evelyn Nelson, Alexandria, MN; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by daughter, Kathryn; three brothers, Norman, George and Erling; four sisters, Beatrice, Alice, Anna and Olga; and three half-sisters, Selma, Nora and Clara.
