Russell Lee

Russell Lee, age 81, of Moorhead, MN passed away peacefully on January 25, 2015.

Russell was born August 22, 1933 in Rugby, ND son of Norman and Fern Lee. He graduated from Towner High School in 1951 and served in the army from 1953 – 1955. He went on to attend college on the GI bill and graduated from NDSU in 1960 with a degree in Civil Engineering.

In 1959 Russell married Gwenith Kenney, daughter of Robert and Alice Kenney, of Towner, ND. He worked for Moorhead Construction, Abbott, Arne-Schwindt from 1965 – 1993 and Ulteig Engineering until retiring.
Russell was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Gwenith, Children; Karen GlenVetter, New Hope, MN, Byron Meg Lee, Rogers, MN, Sara Lee, Granville, OH, Mark Gina Lee, Burnsville, MN, Donald Cari Lee, Falcon Heights, MN, grandchildren; Daniel Andrea, Eric Babs, Matthew, Brandon, Alex, Adam, Jacob, Connor, Piper, Cormac, great-grandchildren; Owen and Abigail and Brother Dale Lee, Wausau, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Fern Lee and brothers, Byron and Jack.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for their excellent care.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 30, at 2 p.m., with gathering one hour prior to the service in The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
