Ruth Johnk, 73, Sabin, MN, died on Saturday, June 30, 2007, in MeritCare Hospital's Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND.Ruth Joann Williams was born on November 19, 1933, in Moorhead, MN, to Fred and Carrie LaPash Williams. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from Moorhead High School. She married Delmer P. Johnk on February 14, 1957, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin, MN. They made their home near Sabin where they farmed. Ruth was a homemaker for many years. She had worked at Country Greenery and the Sun Mart bakery in Moorhead and was a volunteer at Eventide Lutheran Home. She was also an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin.Ruth is survived by her husband, Delmer, Sabin, MN; one son, Dan Kellee Johnk, Sabin; two daughters, Susan Robert Johnson, and Deb Sherman Syverson, both of Moorhead; ten grandchildren, Karra, Kamron and Kadin Johnk, Stephanie, Derek, Brendan and Kyle Johnson, Ty, Drew and Alec Syverson; one brother, Lloyd Charlotte Williams, Fargo, ND; one sister, Irene James Sundahl, Moorhead.She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Krista Johnk, a brother, Leonard Williams, and her parents.
