Ruth L. Gunderson

Ruth L. Gunderson, 97, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Eventide in Fargo.  Ruth was born in Lisbon, ND to Rudolph and Clara (Gilbertson) Mehl.  She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1939 and attended UND, graduating with an associate degree in business.  In 1949, Ruth married Emmett Gunderson in Hillsboro, ND.  Ruth worked in the Hillsboro Hospital Business office and later was a Fargo real estate broker for many years.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ronald and Allan Mehl, and her husband.

In retirement, Ruth enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her cats and friends.

Ruth is survived by her son, Dean Gunderson, Arden Hills, MN; a daughter, Barbara (Clark) Marshall, Shoreview, MN and two grandchildren, Lindsey (Eric) Bettendorf and Kyle Marshall.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 11:00 A.M., at Concordia Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Glyndon, MN.
