Ryan L. Peterson

Ryan L. Peterson, 40, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Ryan was born in Fargo on December 27, 1975, to Allen “Pete” and Jill Antonsen Peterson. He grew up and attended school in Hawley, graduating in 1994, before continuing his education at Moorhead Technical College. Ryan worked at D.L. Marine and later with Cross Country Couriers, where he had been for the past 16 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially being at the lake and hunting. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and 4-wheeling whenever he had the chance. He loved his friends and family and would do anything for them; always putting others needs before his own. He will be greatly missed.

Ryan is survived by his father, Allen “Pete” Peterson of Hawley, MN; brothers, Chris Samantha Peterson of Hawley, MN, Andy Janna Peterson of Fargo, ND; and niece and nephews, Joseph, Hannah, Drew, Anders, Huntur and Espen.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jill.

Visitation: Thursday, April 21, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with prayer service at 7 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Funeral: Friday, April 22, at 2:00 p.m., at Hawley United Methodist Church, Hawley, MN.

Interment: Vergas Village Cemetery, Vergas, MN.
