Scott G. Olson

Scott G. Olson, age 60, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Eventide on Eighth, surrounded by his loved ones.

Scott Gordon Olson was born on October 8, 1959 to Gordon and Elsie (Reitan) Olson in Minneapolis, MN. Scott graduated from Columbia Heights High School and began working various jobs in the Twin Cities. He moved back to Moorhead in the early 90s and started working for Eventide in the laundry department. Scott met the love of his life, Susan Fish, in 2003 and they have been lifelong companions since.

Scott was very social and made friends everywhere he went. He was never in a hurry and always had time to talk.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cheering on Minnesota sport’s teams and the Bison, and watching old western movies. He cherished the weekends spent with his best friend, Dave Shonka, and spending time with family and friends. Scott had a strong faith in God. Scott will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Scott is survived by his significant other, Sue Fish of Moorhead; son, Brandon Krueger of Minneapolis; mother, Elsie Olson of Moorhead; brother, David (Shirin) Olson and his children, Emily, Jeremy, and Jake of Wylie, TX; sister, Kathy (Aaron) Iverson and her children, Isaac, Josie, Bailey, and Breezy of Winger, MN; lifelong friend, Dave Shonka; and many other extended relatives.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Olson; and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., with a visitation starting at 10:00 A.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
