Sharon K. Weiser

Sharon Kay Deseth, daughter of Jens and Elma Danielson Deseth, was born March 25, 1946 in Devils Lake, ND. She grew up and graduated high school in Edmore, ND. After graduation she attended Lake Region Junior College and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Mayville State University. Her first teaching position was in Walhalla, ND where she met the love of her life Tom. Sharon was united in marriage to Tom Weiser on December 19, 1970 in Edmore, ND. They enjoyed 46 years together. The couple moved to Hazelton, ND in 1972 where they made their home for 41 years. She taught junior high and high school English, History and Physical education for 30 years. On September 20, 2013, they moved to Moorhead, MN to be closer to family. Sharon loved being closer to her grandchildren and always enjoyed attending the many activities they were involved in: from baseball games, softball games, track meets, dance competitions, volleyball games and choir concerts. Aside from spending time with family she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing games, bingo and cheering on the NDSU Bison and Minnesota Vikings.

Sharon died, Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She was 70 years old.

She is survived by her husband: Tom Weiser of Moorhead; one son: Ryan Lori Weiser of Dilworth; two daughters: Jonell Weiser of Fargo, Heather Weiser of Moorhead; four grandchildren: Brandon, Angela, Megan and Taylor Weiser; two sisters: Corinne Alfred Sanderson of California, Valerie Jerry Leingang of Bismarck, ND; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Tom, Leland, Harland, Donald and Robert Deseth and five sisters: Jeaneen Anderson, Shirley Dahl, Linda Verke, Emilie Demester and Caren Deseth.
