Shawn A. Mattingley

Shawn A. Mattingley, 34, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Shawn was born March 16, 1982, in Anchorage, AK, to Calvin B. and Ra’Nae King Mattingley. He grew up and attended school in Williston, ND, where he graduated from high school. Following high school, he continued his education at Williston State College and then the North Dakota State University. Shawn earned several degrees including Computer Science as well as his Master’s in Business Administration at the University of North Dakota. Shawn served in the North Dakota National Guard for more than 16 years, where he was a Lieutenant, and more recently he was active in the Army Reserves. He took pride in service and was very proud of his units. He was one who knew how to make people laugh and smile and was always fun to be around. Shawn will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Ra’Nae Mattingley of Williston, ND; brothers, Calvin R. Yolonda Mattingley of Anchorage, AK, Michael Mattingley of Fargo; father, Calvin B. Nancy of Richmond Hill, GA, Mike Misty Heitman of Cookville, TN, Gary Tiffany Roberts of Anchorage, AK; sister, Liz Mike Coleman of Richland, GA; grandmother, Midge Davis; and favorite aunt and uncle, Birdie and Ryan Burley; and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
