Sherrie Lien

Sherrie L. Lien, 60, of Fargo, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Eventide in Moorhead.

Sherrie Lee Lien was born July 25, 1956, in Fargo, ND to Kermit and Norma Hoffman Holte. She attended school in Dilworth, MN and graduated from high school there in 1974. She attended Moorhead Technical College for 2 years and obtained a degree in business. She worked at Dayton Warehousing in Fargo until 1999 when she began working for U.S. Bank Service Center. Sherrie continued to work for U.S. Bank until her health began to fail in March 2017.

Sherrie was united in marriage to Larry Lien on June 5, 1999, at Dilworth Lutheran Church. Larry died on January 4, 2013.

Sherrie was a member of Dilworth Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, and she especially loved her flowers. She loved shopping and was known for always finding unique items and good deals. Together with Larry, she enjoyed traveling and hunting for antiques. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren; all of them were very special to her.

She is survived by her mother, Norma Holte, Moorhead; aunts, Carol Rob Richie, Bothell, WA, Joanne Holte, Osakis, MN, Bea Roger Vining, West Fargo; uncle, Eugene Freda Holte, Tustin, CA; sisters-in-law, Inez Flieth, Fargo, Carol Lien, Davenport, FL; step-children, Enos Angie Lien, Emily Gross, Suzanne Lien, and Carolyn Lien, all of Fargo; grandchildren, Elvin, Gage, Trinity, Mason, Roman, Katlyn, Daniel, Alexa, Linkyn, and Makenna. She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, and several aunts and uncles.

The funeral service will be Friday, July 7, 2017, at 2:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Hillsboro, ND.
