Shirley A. Curfman

Shirley A. Curfman, age 89, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, November 28, 2011 in Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo, ND under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.Shirley Anita Svendsen was born on August 21, 1922 to Hartvig and Bertha Johnson Svendsen in Detroit Lakes, MN. She grew up and attended school in Lake Park, MN, graduating in 1940. Shirley then attended Interstate Business College in Fargo for a short time. She worked for Haggart Oil Company in Fargo from 1943-1948. Shirley married Warren Curfman on March 10, 1948. Warren died on May 6, 2007. Shirley then worked as a Credit Manager and Bookkeeper for the Goodyear Service Store in Fargo from 1958 until her retirement in 1978.She is survived by sons, Richard of Fargo, ND and Harry Marie of Jamestown, RI and daughter, Sharon Bandelin of Edglewood, CO; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two nieces.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ray and Wilburn and sister, Alvina Guida.
