Shirley C. Thompson

Shirley Catherine Hansen Thompson, age 82, of Lake Park, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND, Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Odessa, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2012, in Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN. Shirley was born in Fargo, ND, where she grew up and graduated from Fargo Central High School. Shirley later married Roy Thompson and together started a family. Her family was always the most important thing in her life. She will be dearly missed. Shirley is survived by her son, Kurt of Texas; daughters, Randi Mark Handegaard of Lake Park, MN, Joan Ferden of Eden Prairie, MN, Carla Thompson of Castle Rock, CO; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Florence Jim Clark of Texas.She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; parents, Lester and Ruth Ekerberg Hansen; and sisters, Jeanette Gordon Olson, and Virginia Roy Wiseman.
