Shirley Anne Hodgson, 73, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Eventide Senior Living, Moorhead, MN. Shirley was born on September 15, 1943 to Frank and Emma Langer Fiebiger in Moorhead, MN. Shirley grew up and graduated from High School in Casselton, MN. Following High School, she continued her education at Joseph’s School of Hair Design where she became a beautician.
Shirley was married to Duane Hodgson on November 28, 1964 in Casselton. Duane passed away in 1995. Shirley then remarried Clifford Blake on April 17, 2001 and moved to Oregon in 2002. In 2014, Shirley moved back to the area in Hawley, MN and continued her life there until her passing.
Shirley was a strong willed, self-confident, independent woman of great faith. She was the embodiment of kindness, very generous with her time and very passionate about service. She was a devout teacher of values and morals, such as a strong work ethic, perseverance and treating others well. Shirley was a woman with an unforgettable personality and could make anyone smile who crossed her path.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Clifford Blake; sons, Jon Beverly Hodgson, Jay Rebecca Hodgson, Jamie Shalee Hodgson; Daughters, Julie Hodgson, and Jennifer Dewey Ronning; Grandchildren, Robbie, Matthew, Casey, Allison, Benjamin, Samuel and Samantha; Great-Grandchildren, Brody, Dylan, and McKinnley; Brother, Francis Janice Fiebiger, and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceeded in death by her first husband, Duane Hodgson, Parents, and two brothers, Vernon and Leo Fiebiger.
Services will take place on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home with a visitation 1 hour prior to services. A private family burial will take place on a later date.
