Solveig H. Bodin

Solveig Bodin, age 94, formerly Lake Park, MN, died on March 12, 2014, at Bethany on University, Fargo, ND.
Solveig Harriet Pederson was born November 27, 1919, at Audubon, MN, the daughter of Christian and Bergitte Nilsen Pederson. She was baptized and confirmed at Audubon Lutheran Church. Solveig attended school in District #121, rural Audubon, through 8th grade. With her father’s death in 1933 she had to stay home to help with the farm work.
Solveig was united in marriage to Earl Bodin on October 20, 1939, at Audubon. Following their marriage they farmed south of Lake Park, MN, where their six children were born. They were members of Strandvik Lutheran Church, rural Lake Park. They lived in Hawley and Moorhead, MN. Earl died in 1994. Solveig entered Bethany Homes in March of 2010.
Besides farming and raising their six children, Solveig cleaned cabins and homes, and later worked 20 years at the The Fashion Gallery in Hawley and Moorhead.
She is survived by sons: Arlo Neva Bodin, Casper, WY; Alan Bodin, Horace, ND; daughters Loureigne Kimm, Moorhead, MN; Jeanette James Gray, Page, ND; Janice Lovell and Karen Bodin, both Fargo, ND; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister: Doris Fischer; numerous nieces and nephews.
Solveig was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers: Winford and Orfield; sisters: Ethel, Mabel, Alice and Margaret.
