Stanley R. Dibley

Stanley Robert was born on December 24, 1926, in Moorhead, MN, to Robert and Lila Cowan Dibley. He attended Deerhorn Country School through 8th grade. Stanley enlisted in the army in 1951. In 1953, he married Bernice Lapham in Fargo, ND. He farmed in Wolverton, MN, until 1964, when they moved to Audubon, MN where he continued to farm. He also drove school bus for 10 years in Audubon, MN. Bernice died in January, 1995. In July, 1995 Stanley married Doris Braa Ness in Wolverton, MN, where they made their home. Stanley enjoyed driving and visiting; his favorite stop was Hardee's. He liked watching the Twins and collecting tractors and horses. Stanley was a member of the American Legion in Wolverton, MN. He enjoyed spending time with family, and considered his nieces and nephews his own children.Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Doris; brother, Kenneth Helen Dibley, Detroit Lakes, MN; nephews and niece, Robert Dibley, Audubon, MN, Keith Dibley, Lake Park, MN and Kimberly Mark Erickson, Lake Park, MN; great-nieces and nephews, Cassie Chris Dagenais, Anoka, MN, Eric Dibley, Lake Park, MN, Nathan Dibley Julie, Detroit Lakes, MN, Chad Jill Dibley, Hawley, MN, Nichole Matt Fulton, Sedalia, MO, Alicia Dibley, Detroit Lakes, MN, Ryan Dibley, Fargo, ND, Jennifer Dibley, Fargo, ND, Tina Brenton Newling, Frazee, MN, and Andrew Erickson, Lake Park, MN; step-children, Terri Alan Drevlow, Bloomington, MN, Barry Ness Rose, Superior, WI, Linda Michael Jones, Fargo, ND, Wendy David Dynes, Fargo, ND and Dale Ness, Moorhead, MN; step-grandchildren, Cassie and Jamie Drevlow, and Keaton and Dawson Dynes; brother-in-law, Norm January Evans, Bismarck, ND; sisters-in-law, Betty Liljenquist, Cooperstown, ND and Carol Charles Sortland, Litchville, ND; and 17 great-great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, an infant brother and infant sister.
