Susan Louise Johnson

Susan Louise Vik Johnson was born to David and Shirley Vik on February 1st, 1969 in Hibbing, MN. She died from natural causes on May 24th, 2021 at her home in Moorhead, MN. She graduated from Hibbing High School where she was a cheerleader and a flag girl for the marching band. She graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and became a marketing consultant for numerous publishing firms in both Minnesota and Florida.

Sue married Jeffery Johnson on June 25th, 1994 and the couple lived in Plymouth, MN. This union provided the loves of her life, twin daughters Jada and Brynna. The family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 2001 where Sue loved the warm temperatures and spending time on the beautiful beaches. Sue and her daughters returned to Minnesota in 2012 and lived in Park Rapids for several years before moving to Moorhead. In recent years she found joy in spending time with her daughters and doting on her beloved granddaughters. Sue would beam when she was able to prepare exquisite meals, and then sit and enjoy them in the company of her beloved children, “Jade” and “Brynn-ups”, and their daughters “Em” and “Roobs”.

She is survived by daughters Jada Johnson, Fargo, ND, Brynna Johnson, Moorhead, MN and granddaughters Emryn Sue Hegre and Ruby Edith Dawson, her parents, David and Shirley Vik, brother David R. Vik (Lorrie) of Port St. Lucie, FL, sisters Deborah Tytler (Brian) of Vancouver, WA, and Elizabeth Lundgren of Duluth, MN as well as six nieces and nephews.

Susan was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1^st at 11:00 A.M. at St. Johns in Park Rapids with lunch to follow. Pastor James Neubauer and Pastor Joel Newton will officiate.
