Tammi L. Kenney

Tammi Lynn Kenney tragically and suddenly left this world on February 11, 2024.  She was born to Harvey and Bonnie Haugen in July 1959 in Valley City, ND, and grew up in rural Litchville, ND.  Upon the death of her dad in 1971, she and her mother relocated to Grand Forks, ND, where she graduated from high school.

Tammi married Steven Kenney in 2004 and they lived in Fargo until his death in 2009.  Tammi continued to live and work in Fargo until her death in February.

Tammi learned so many characteristics from her mother - kindness, generosity and telling it like it is.  She was kind to a fault and asked nothing in return, except friendship.  

Left behind are her daughter, Crystal Foyt and her son Jakoby; brother Bruce (Grace) and their son Erich and his wife, Sara, their children Lillian and Evan; and daughter Kathryn; brother Tom; sister Laurie (Dimitris) and their children Lydia and Alexis, many cousins and very many dear friends.

Tammi was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Steve.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, April 22, at 10 a.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

A Burial ceremony will be held in the North LaMoure cemetery near Litchville, ND in June.

A line from a famous movie could have been written about Tammi:  A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others. Rest in peace, our dear mother, sister, friend.
