Teresa Marie Nord

Teresa Marie Nord, 55, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, September 14, from kidney failure and other complications at The Meadows Nursing Home in Fargo. 

Teresa was born August 2, 1969, in Montevideo, MN, to Kent and Mary Ann (Riedman) Nord. She grew up and resided in Moorhead until 2022 when she moved into The Meadows in Fargo. She graduated from Shanley High School in 1988 and attended Valley City State for one year, later earning a certificate in bookkeeping from Northwest Technical College in Moorhead. 

Teresa lived a very difficult life suffering from significant mental and physical health challenges, but her defining characteristic was her sweet and kind nature along with her ability to endure her struggles with grace and optimism. She worked various part-time jobs over the years that suited her abilities. She enjoyed listening to music, connecting with friends and family, crocheting, reading, and (to her family's dismay) ordering stuff online. 

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. She is survived by her mother; brother Jason Nord; sister Brenda Paikowski; brother-in-law Paul Paikowski; and nieces Emily Anne Nord and Paige Paikowski. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 7, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN. A livestream of the service will be available here on Teresa's webpage. Final resting place will be in the columbarium at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
