Thelma Knutson

Thelma Knutson of Fargo, passed away on December 13, 2005, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Thelma was born in Buxton on January 3, 1920. She grew up and attended school in Buxton. On November 9, 1938 she married Boyd J. Knutson of Hillsboro. They made their home in Buxton and Hillsboro. They also farmed from 1943 – 1960 in the Blanchard area, where she was active in the Blanchard Lutheran Church.They moved to Fargo in 1960, she worked at St. Ansgar Hospital until 1965. From 1965 until she retired she was employed at Moorhead State University Minnesota. Some of her favorite past time activities were enjoying family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, going to church doings and senior citizen centers and her friends.She is survived by her daughter Joanne K. Steffen, Fargo, two grandchildren, Denise Bob Kirmis and children Betsy and Sam, Hopkins, MN, Brad Lana Steffen and children Alexander and Lauren, Grapvine, TX, and Butch Hill, Fargo, who was like a son.She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Daniel and Jorund Jore, a brother, Ole and son-in-law, Walter Steffen.
